Automatically split bills by percentages for shared facilities. Bill splits can be performed according to specifications like percentage of square footage, submeter readings, or other complex formulas. Actual bills are split into "virtual bills" for reports and General Ledger chargebacks. Percentages for all the bill line items from the master account are calculated in the split bills.

An example of a simple bill split for a Public Safety Building is that 60% of the master bill is charged to the Police Department and 40% is charged to the Fire Department based on their square feet of occupied space. EnergyCAP creates tenant or target bills for these departments based on their respective percentages from the master bill.
