EnergyCAP in School Districts

The thing I like the most about EnergyCAP Online is the ease with which I can drill down to meters that concern me. I’ve found a considerable usage problem at a building with 2 electric meters that had actually been problem for some time but gone unnoticed.

Client Onboarding For Pro Online

EnergyCAP Pro is now completely web-based. We’d like to make it easy for you to upgrade. Click here to read about the exciting improvements in Pro Online.

A major improvement is the collection of reports available in the software. Please see our comparison guide, highlighting the differences in reporting between Pro Desktop and Pro Online.

Please note: Conversions to Pro Online cost 50% of your ECMA fee. Please register for one of the remaining training and conversion opportunities under Training Opportunities.

Conversion Process

If you are a current EnergyCAP Pro Desktop user, here are the steps involved in getting you onboard with Pro Online:

  1. Attend one of the Pro Online training opportunities. See below.
  2. Send us a copy of your most recent Pro Desktop database. Instructions on how to do so will be provided.
  3. We will give you access to your newly converted EnergyCAP Pro Online account immediately following training.

When you login for the first time, please follow the post-conversion checklist.

If you are locked into pre-2011 pricing, you will be charged a yearly hosting fee of $195. This will be a separate line item on your annual invoice.

Training Opportunities

The Desktop to Online conversion fee is 50% of your annual ECMA price. We offer two opportunities for training and conversion each year:

Pro Online Training Video Series

This is a series of videos designed to get you familiar with Pro Online, while going at your own pace. We are using an online learning platform called Moodle, which requires a login and password. To access the training series go to http://moodle.energycap.com. The class consists of 10 required and 28 optional modules, each containing a video and three quiz questions. The total length of the required videos is about an hour. The videos are led by our President and CEO, Steve Heinz. You will need speakers on your computer to watch the videos. Stick to a computer instead of a mobile device. The videos are best used on web browsers Firefox or Internet Explorer. You will need to be able to view QuickTime videos, which is the program they were created in. Most computers have this plug-in and can be downloaded for free.

You may register now for the September Video Series.

EnergyCAP Catalyst Training Conference

Attend our annual Catalyst Training for Savings conference for hands-on training to learn how to better use our online software to get the most value from your utility bills. Our next Catalyst will be held in State College, PA, in late April, 2016. You'll join EnergyCAP users and staff for:

  • Easy Networking with Other Users
  • One-on-one Meetings with Staff
