Heinz reviews the history of energy management software and then illustrates its power by demonstrating ten value streams that can result from maintaining an accessible energy management database.
Says Heinz, “Energy management software tracks utility bills, which enables you to identify abnormal trends and suspected billing and metering errors. Some programs also track 15-minute electric meter data (demand), which can provide valuable insights into near real-time usage patterns and expensive peak loads, leaks, or process inefficiencies.”
