Chris Carney serves as Chief Technology Officer at EnergyCAP, leading engineering and technology strategy across the company’s product portfolio. He is focused on accelerating product delivery, productizing AI-driven Bill Capture to transform utility bill processing, and building the technical and organizational foundation to scale EnergyCAP’s impact.

Chris brings 25 years of technology experience, including 15 years in private equity–backed B2B SaaS and roughly a decade in senior leadership roles. Prior to joining EnergyCAP, he was CTO at Delta Data, where he led a cloud transformation that reduced costs, strengthened security, and accelerated delivery. That modernization enabled new AI use cases that significantly lowered processing costs while improving quality. Earlier in his career, he spent nine years at Accruent, most recently as VP of Engineering.

Chris earned bachelor’s degrees in Business and Management Information Systems from Florida State University. He lives in Austin, Texas with his wife and two children, and enjoys hiking and fishing.
