Ypsilanti Community Schools’ energy manager, Robert Oliver, has been using EnergyCAP to manage gas, water, sewer, and electrical invoices since 1997. By using EnergyCAP, Oliver is able to track and analyze the school district’s energy usage and costs over time, identify areas for potential savings, and compare energy usage between buildings and over different time periods.
Burke County Public Schools uses EnergyCAP to track usage across the district, flag high-use buildings, and find wasted energy, so a tight budget goes further.
Rockingham County Schools (RCS) in North Carolina secured a $7.8 million DOE grant to upgrade aging infrastructure and improve energy efficiency. Using EnergyCAP, RCS is implementing HVAC upgrades, solar panels, and LED lighting. These efforts will enhance learning environments, reduce costs, and position RCS as a leader in rural sustainability.
Loudoun County Public Schools used EnergyCAP to save over $64 million in utility costs, achieving ENERGY STAR ratings for 70% of its schools.
