EnergyCAP launches Insights, powered by Watts AI

Energy, facilities, finance, and sustainability teams don’t need more data. They need to know what to look at first. At Catalyst Converge, EnergyCAP’s 20th annual conference, EnergyCAP announced Insights: a new capability for its energy and utility management platform, powered by Watts AI, that brings reporting, alerting, and prioritization together so teams can focus on what’s most important.

EnergyCAP Insights includes:

  • Watts reports: allows all customers, regardless of expertise or experience, to quickly build the custom reports that simplify their complex data into exactly what they need, then refine, save, rerun, and share the report output.
  • Watts alerts: let customers define what matters to them and choose how they want to be notified when it happens.
  • Signals dashboard: brings key issues and priorities into one place, ranked by impact so teams know where to focus first.

Insights builds on the same centralized, financial-grade data EnergyCAP customers have trusted for more than four decades. In the company’s 2026 Value of EnergyCAP report, more than 9 in 10 customers say EnergyCAP meets or exceeds their ROI expectations, and customers report receiving three times more value than they pay for the software.

Part of a broader AI and automation push

Insights closely follows EnergyCAP Watts AI and Watts chat, which were released earlier this year. Built on powerful AI technology, it helps users better understand their data and quickly surface their most pressing issues. Beyond new products like Insights, EnergyCAP is applying the latest AI and automation across the platform to strengthen proven workflows. In Bill Capture, new technology has improved processing speed and reduced exceptions.

Twenty years of Catalyst

The Insights announcement came at Catalyst Converge, EnergyCAP’s 20th annual conference, where energy, facilities, finance, and sustainability teams gather for three days of learning, collaboration, and product innovation. This year’s theme, Converge, reflects how energy management is changing as data, teams, and technology come together to solve increasingly complex challenges. The event continues through September 16 in Orlando, with founder and former CEO Steve Heinz, athletes and inclusion advocates Kyle and Brent Pease, and customer-led sessions from NASA Kennedy Space Center, Miami-Dade County, and the University of Arizona. The next Catalyst is already set for September 2027, in Austin, Texas.
